Brendan bought Jeremy Haynes’ Digital Marketing Mastery course way back in 2017 for a couple hundred bucks through Tai Lopez. He only completed 20% of it. But he showed up to the first-ever Internet Earners Summit in 2017 and saw people operating at levels that opened his mind. By osmosis, he realized if someone else could make a million dollars per month, so could he. Fast forward to 2024. Brendan had scaled to $700,000 per month mainly through partnerships and cold calls. But he felt like the smartest person in the room. So he joined the Inner Circle in Q4 2024 to finally unlock marketing, paid ads, and content strategies he’d been sleeping on for years.
Brendan’s first real breakthrough didn’t come from the course content itself. It came from being around people operating at higher levels. At the 2017 Internet Earners Summit, he saw people making a million dollars per month. That shattered his limiting beliefs.
“Seeing everyone operating at a higher level opens up your mind,” Brendan explained. “This guy’s making a million a month? I can do that.”
Haynes has seen this pattern repeatedly. One of his first clients went to a ClickFunnels event and saw a pregnant blonde white lady getting a trophy for $10 million. He was pissed. If she could get that trophy, so could he.
That’s the power of proximity. You can’t pursue what you can’t see. When you’re surrounded by people achieving results you didn’t think were possible, it recalibrates your entire belief system about what’s achievable.
The Inner Circle operates on that principle. High-caliber individuals who aren’t better or smarter than you. They just have an affinity toward taking action. When Haynes talks about trust assets, Brendan’s already halfway through creating a video and planning four more.
“By the time you talked about trust assets, I’m halfway through a video trying to create four more,” Brendan said.
That’s the difference. Most people consume information and think about it. Winners consume information and immediately execute.
Brendan scaled to $7 million mainly through partnerships and cold calls. There are a million ways to hit seven figures. Even eight figures. But if you’re not leveraging content, marketing, and things with the most leverage, you’re being an idiot.
He recognized that firsthand from his own mastermind. He saw how much value his students got from him. Then he asked himself why he wasn’t in a mastermind as a student learning as much as his students were from him.
If you’re the smartest person in the room, you’re in the wrong room. Brendan was often the smartest person in the room from both an experience and accomplishment perspective. That’s a problem. It means you’ve stopped growing.
Marketing was something he’d always wanted to unlock. He needed to figure out paid ads, content funnels, VSLs. He was still sleeping on the possibilities.
Then he ran his first content-based ad on Meta. Started conversations for $2 each. Compare that to VAs he thought were cheap at $5 per hour who were barely starting two conversations for $50 per day.
“Content ad strategies are sweet, huh?” Haynes noted.
Brendan pulled over $50,000 in contract value and cash collected off $1,000 in ad spend. He’s still clicking around Meta like an idiot trying to figure out where to boost posts. But understanding the overarching strategy helps him separate noise from what’s actually working for certain individuals and what’s changing in the landscape.
That perspective alone is worth it. If joining the Inner Circle unlocks a 5% upside for Brendan, that’s $50,000. And he’s paying way less than 5% of that for access.
Brendan doesn’t feel like the smartest person in the room anymore. But he’s definitely not scratching his head at the bottom of the bell curve either. He sees everyone as peers.
There’s value to learn from everyone. Some people are way further ahead on the content side, the business side, the sales acumen side. Brendan can give them insights there. But they understand PPC and Google ads way better than him. He’s learning stuff that would take trial and error to figure out himself. Instead, he just asks.
“There’s a lot of give and take. Everyone here is at a high level,” Brendan explained.
The abundance mindset matters. Everyone in the group operates from abundance. They don’t mind sharing. If $4,000 to $5,000 per month for a mastermind feels like a lot, you’re not ready for the room. For what you can make, the opportunities, the connections? It’s nothing.
Brendan hasn’t started a business with anyone in the group yet. But he sees a lot of these people as future business partners. He sees Haynes as someone who might make him a partner on the right offer. Or throw down an investment.
That future optionality is exciting. You’re not just paying for weekly calls and quarterly masterminds. You’re paying for proximity to people who could become partners, investors, collaborators, or clients down the line.
